Best Free Dog Advice

Helping owners and their dogs has been a very rewarding career. Please consider a few of "my truths", learned on the jouney.

1. Dogs are not furry people!
2. Your dog may love you - it has nothing to do with whether s/he listens and behaves.
3. Be a leader for your dog, not a vending machine.
4. "Let's see what happens" is setting your dog up for failure.
5. Without training, you'll never see your dog's best behavior or full potential.
6. A 1st grade training level isn't good enough for the real world.
7. Bad energy always brings more bad energy.
8. Exercise only tires the body, learning and thinking calms the mind.
9. If you want to live successfully with your dog, get comfortable being a teacher.
10. If you have a working breed, get comfortable being a boss.
11. Don't blindly believe what you read - assess what you observe!
